GUESS WHAT!! I am going to tell you something that family is not aware of.
We have wanted to foster and adopt for quite some time now. We haven't done it because we have a smaller two bedroom house with 5 young children. Apparently they just have to have their own beds. We are looking to foster a child that is 3 and under. AND that's not it!
If God decides that we are ready to adopt then we are. If we are eventually approved then we are interested in adopting a baby with DS. Lets see where this road takes us. Hopefully it is to our new child. :)

I get the urge to have another baby. No I am not pregnant but at times I feel the niggle of oh what if? We cannot afford another baby right now yet my mind brings me there.
I asked my husband about this and how he feels. He would still like to adopt. So do I. I am an impatient person. The process will be a long one considering our house is too small. One day we will hold our sweet child in our arms. Just not yet. Patience is a virtue.

Ron may be getting a good job in a month. Does this mean we are getting closer to adoption? Yes, it does :) I wonder if he/she is conceived yet? Probably not. He/she will be though.

Special Olympics 09

I was one of the volunteer photographers at the Special Olympics. What an opportunity! It was so rewarding. One day our child may be in the Special Olympics :)

I feel like my life is right where it is supposed to be.
I have a wonderful husband and 5 beautiful children.
I have started our photography business "Something Special." Can you figure out why this name is so special? We will be photographing children/people with special needs. I have done 3 families so far and am loving every minute of it!
I am volunteering for the Special Olympics. This involves me coaching every Tuesday for an hour. I must say...I feel so connected to these people. They are playing Bochi Ball. I love to see their faces light up when I yell GOOD JOB or GOOD THROW!! When I am leaving I feel like turning around and going back for more. More than half of the athletes have down syndrome. I feel especially connected to them. Peter came up from behind and tickled me. They are just the sweetest bunch of people! I can't wait to go back.
We are just that much closer to bringing home our child :)

My husband and I are starting a photography business. It is taking pictures of children/people with special needs. We are very much looking forward to it.
I am volunteering at the Special Olympics this year. I go every Tuesday night to help out.
It is strange but everything seems so clear now. This is where we are supposed to be.

I will be volunteering at the Special Olympics.
